Silex came tearing into Saturday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the South Callaway Bulldogs with a sharp 11-5 win. Considering the Owls have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Silex's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for South Callaway, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-4.

Silex wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 12-10 win against Palmyra on the 18th. As for South Callaway, they will square off against New Bloomfield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
