The Boothbay Seahawks lost against the Mount Abram Roadrunners back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Boothbay took a serious blow against Mount Abram, falling 89-36. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Boothbay in their matchups with Mount Abram: they've now lost five in a row.
Several Seahawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Finn Harkins, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and five steals. That was a full 36.1% of Boothbay's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Luke Morley was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Boothbay's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Mount Abram, their victory bumped their record up to 15-2.
Boothbay will head out on the road to square off against Spruce Mountain at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Boothbay focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday. As for Mount Abram, they will be playing at home against Hall-Dale at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mount Abram is on a ten-game streak of home wins, Hall-Dale a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
