Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts). They managed a 48-42 victory over the Whitwell Tigers on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 42-41 back in December of 2024.
Whitwell's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ella Grace Harvey, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Harvey has been hot, having also posted two or more blocks the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Callie Brock, who went 5 of 8 to rack up 11 points and six boards.
Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts' win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Whitwell, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts will venture away from home to take on Copper Basin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whitwell, they will head out to square off against Bledsoe County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
