Ja'Ron Wilson ran for four touchdowns to lift
Trinity (Euless, Texas) to a 55-0 defeat over Bell (Hurst, Texas). Thanks to the stand out performance the sophomore now has seven touchdowns on the season.
After taking the lead on a two-point conversion in the first quarter, the Trojans led 20-0 at the half.
Trinity grew its lead to 48 points entering the fourth quarter. THS scored four times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
Isaac Ellsworth.
A 28-point third quarter helped the Euless school secure the big victory. The Trojans scored on an Ellsworth touchdown run, a defensive touchdown, a touchdown run by Wilson and a Wilson touchdown run in the quarter.
Wilson played well for Trinity in the victory. He has now scored seven touchdowns on the season.
The Raiders came in surrendering 14.0 points per game this season. Bell struggled against Trinity's offense, which entered the game scoring 19.0 points per game. The Euless school entered the contest giving up 26.2 points per game this year. A defensively strong the Trojans kept BHS well below the 35.2 points it had been averaging per game.
A 27-9 Trinity victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The loss comes after Bell defeated Turner 50-14 last week. The loss ended Bell's three-game winning streak.
Bell (5-2) goes up against MacArthur in a 5A Region I District 6 game matchup next week, while Trinity (5-2) locks horns with Grapevine also in a 5A Region I District 6 game.
