The Central Wildcats will take on the Pell City Panthers in a tournament on Friday. Central will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
On Thursday, Central got the win against Hatton by a conclusive 13-3. Considering the Wildcats have won 17 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Paislee Ticer made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off 12 hits. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had over her last three games. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Mycah Beth Ray was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. Devyn Green was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Pell City not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 28th (when they won 10-0). They blew past Lincoln 14-6. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Golden Bears recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.
Ally Mosley tossed a big game, pitching 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Kherington Keith, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. She has been hot recently, having also posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Grace Falls, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Pell City always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lincoln only posted an OBP of .389.
Pell City's victory bumped their record up to 18-12-2. As for Central, their win bumped their record up to 30-8.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Central hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .420. However, it's not like Pell City struggles in that department as they've averaged .324. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
