The Piedmont Academy Cougars''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Brentwood, falling 42-3. Piedmont Academy has struggled against Brentwood recently, as their match on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Brentwood's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zach Denton, who rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. Baylor Cobb was in the mix as well, providing Brentwood with two touchdowns.
Piedmont Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Brentwood, their win bumped their record up to 4-4.
Piedmont Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Brentwood will be playing in front of their home fans against Trinity Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
