The Bridgman Bees stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. Everything went their way against New Buffalo as Bridgman made off with a 67-45 win. Given Bridgman's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while New Buffalo is ranked 557th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Defeat or not, New Buffalo got some senior leadership from Andres Becerra and Elliott Bourne. Becerra scored 16 points along with two blocks, while Bourne. scored ten points along with two steals. Bourne has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times he's played.
Bridgman's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for New Buffalo, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
Bridgman will head out on the road to face off against Michigan Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Buffalo, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Countryside Academy at 7:30 p.m.
