Lovett is 5-0 against Hampton since November of 2022, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Lovett Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hampton Hornets at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Lovett is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Georgia (they are ranked 158th, while Hampton is ranked 347th).
Even though Hampton scored an imposing 56 points on Thursday, Lovett still came out on top. Lovett strolled past Hampton with points to spare, taking the game 75-56. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lovett.
Lovett found their leader in underclassman Kingston Whitty, who scored 20 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Cannon, who scored 17 points.
Lovett is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. As for Hampton, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-18.
Lovett strolled past Hampton in their previous meeting on Thursday by a score of 75-56. Will Lovett repeat their success, or does Hampton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
