The Youngker Roughriders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They walked away with a 57-48 win over Washington. The victory was just what Youngker needed coming off of a 80-30 loss in their prior contest.
Ashlee Gonzalez continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. She hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. Daniela Barreras was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six steals.
Despite the loss, Washington still got an impressive performance from Natalie Agsaulio, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Amaya Yazzie, who scored nine points.
Youngker is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Washington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-6.
Youngker will head out on the road to challenge Copper Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Washington won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Glendale at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th.
