Calvary Christian Academy moved up to 878 from 922 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Citrus. The Royal Knights climbed the ranks as a result of defeating San Pasqual Academy 33-0.
Calvary Christian Academy extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Dragons, 33-0. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Justin Harrison was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 184 yards on 28 carries as the Royal Knights defeated San Pasqual Academy. Teammate Rodriguez added to the ground attack by rushing for 30 yards.
Brandon Alexander put up the best numbers through the air as Rashiid Burgo's team fell to Calvary Christian Academy. He had a total of three completions for 34 yards. Alexander's favorite target this week was Isaac Gay, who caught one pass for 19 yards.
Rodriguez was the best wideout in Citrus this week as the Royal Knights bested the Dragons. Rodriguez tallied one reception for 20 yards.
Brian Balcazar made the biggest impact on defense this week as San Pasqual Academy lost to Calvary Christian Academy. The sophomore grabbed one sack.
Julian's Hunter McConnell and Tah Beresford have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. McConnell has thrown for 1046 yards this season, while Beresford, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 13 catches for 396 yards. The Royal Knights' Harrison leads the league in rushing yards with 1731.
Classical Academy took down Borrego Springs 66-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
