The Veritas Collegiate Academy Spartans can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They claimed a resounding 84-31 victory over Veritas School at home. The victory was familiar territory for Veritas Collegiate Academy who now have five in a row.
Marcqell Freeman was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with two steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jailen Pinnix, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Veritas Collegiate Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Veritas School, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-6.
Veritas Collegiate Academy will face off against Dinwiddie at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Veritas School, Veritas School and Christchurch School will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
