Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Brooklyn Pohlman and Jetta Jones Lead Fort Zumwalt West to Victory

If Howell Central wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Fort Zumwalt West, they should've done a better job of containing Audrey Lashbrook. The Jaguars walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Spartans on Tuesday for which the team can thank Lashbrook, who had 22 digs and six assists. She has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 17 times she's played.

Fort Zumwalt West had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-16, 25-16, 25-21.

Fort Zumwalt West was led to victory by Jetta Jones and Brooklyn Pohlman. Jones had 15 digs, while Pohlman had nine kills and one block. Those 15 digs gave Jones a new career-high.

Fort Zumwalt West's win bumped their record up to 22-4. As for Howell Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Fort Zumwalt West will square off against Howell North at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Howell Central, they will challenge Howell at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
