Last Tuesday, John Paul II didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against the Eagles, but they still walked away with a 52-47 victory.
John Paul II relied on the efforts of Christian Tilton, who scored 13 points, and Sean Phalen, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicholai Atkinson, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Hilton Head Prep came tearing into Tuesday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 46-33 victory over Hilton Head Christian Academy.
Hilton Head Prep's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jason Britschge, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Ben Frey, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
John Paul II has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. Hilton Head Prep's record is now 15-5.
