The Fillmore Central Falcons will face off against the Kenyon-Wanamingo Knights at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a five-game winning streak alive.
Fillmore Central barely beat Alden-Conger the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Falcons blew past the Knights 3-0 on Thursday.
Fillmore Central was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-9, 25-17.
If New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Kenyon-Wanamingo, they should've done a better job of containing Emilie Jarvis. The Knights walked away with a 3-1 win over the Panthers on Thursday for which the team can thank Jarvis, who had 30 digs and three assists. She has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last eight times she's played.
Kenyon-Wanamingo had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-9, 25-16, 25-22.
Fillmore Central's record is now 24-6. As for Kenyon-Wanamingo, their record now sits at 24-4.

However, it's not like Kenyon-Wanamingo struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
