The Wilder Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Horseshoe Bend Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Wilder couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 60-31 defeat at the hands of Garden Valley on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Horseshoe Bend earned a 52-42 victory over Vision on Friday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Horseshoe Bend.
Horseshoe Bend's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Layth Bromgard, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Porter Larson, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Wilder's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Horseshoe Bend, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
Wilder came up short against Horseshoe Bend when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 41-34. Can Wilder avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
