The Peetz Bulldogs won the last time they faced the Weldon Valley Warriors, and things went their way on Friday too. Peetz breezed by Weldon Valley at home to the tune of 56-6. The result was nothing new for Peetz, who have now won six matches by 20 points or more so far this season.
Peetz got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Chance Segelke out in front who threw for 101 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. Tanner Wood was another key contributor, rushing for 115 yards on only five carries.
Peetz's win was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-1. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-8 Hi-Plains and 2-6 Weldon Valley (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 28.5% over those games). As for Weldon Valley, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Peetz has the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome Otis at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. That game will pit two of the most dominant against one another: Erick Thorn and Rhyder Bayne. Weldon Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
