The Richton Rebels came tearing into Thursday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Heidelberg 44-29. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Richton also won the last time the pair played last Tuesday.
Richton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dakota Amos, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and five steals. Amos is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Husband, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Richton's victory bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Heidelberg, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-14.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Richton will take on Collins at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Collins will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. As for Heidelberg, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Mize at 7:30 p.m.
