Trinity Christian and Fredericksburg Christian are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long. The Gryphons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Trinity Christian's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Fredericksburg Christian has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
On Saturday, Trinity Christian came up short against St. Anne's-Belfield and fell 10-5.

Isaac Norman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Trinity Christian is 4-1 when Norman posts two or more runs, but 2-3 otherwise. Graham Stephenson also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Meanwhile, Fredericksburg Christian fell victim to Trinity Episcopal and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Titans, falling 6-0.
Fredericksburg Christian also got a good showing from Eli Stimmell, who pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Stimmell has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Fredericksburg Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Johnson, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.
Trinity Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Fredericksburg Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7-1.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Trinity Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .441. However, it's not like Fredericksburg Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .458. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Trinity Christian couldn't quite get it done against Fredericksburg Christian in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 as they fell 5-2. Can the Gryphons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
