The Crusaders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 60-57 victory over the Forest Lake Academy Panthers for which the team can thank Rose, who dropped a double-double with 33 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of First Baptist Christian Academy's points.
Tristan Aitken was another key player, putting up four points and six steals. Aitken is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.
Despite the defeat, Forest Lake Academy had strong showings from Isabella Clarke, who went 10-for-21 en route to 23 points and four steals, and Isabella Davis, who shot 43% from the field on her way to 17 points along with seven boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Campbell, who posted seven points in addition to ten rebounds and three steals.
First Baptist Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Forest Lake Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
