New Home has gone 10-0 against Tahoka recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The New Home Leopards will head out to face off against the Tahoka Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. New Home is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.

Last Tuesday, New Home took their contest with ease, bagging a 77-40 victory over Post. The Leopards have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Tahoka played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Floydada and fell 90-45. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Whirlwinds: they've now lost five in a row.

New Home will have to contain Brogan Stone as he made an impact in Tahoka's last game. He went 7 for 14 on his way to 20 points. Caleb Watt was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Even though they lost, Tahoka smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

New Home pushed their record up to 16-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Tahoka, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-13.

Everything came up roses for New Home against Tahoka in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 68-38 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for New Home since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
