The Charlotte Catholic Cougars put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Victory Christian Center with points to spare, taking the game 42-28. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Charlotte Catholic has scored all year.
Charlotte Catholic had a senior duo take command as Gracynn Gough scored 17 points along with six rebounds and Blanca Thomas dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Harper Mckain, who scored eight points.
Charlotte Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Victory Christian Center, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Charlotte Catholic and Charlotte Country Day School will face off at 6:30 p.m. on December 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Charlotte Country Day School has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Victory Christian Center will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Hills Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
