The Meadowcreek Mustangs can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Discovery and snuck past 48-45. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Meadowcreek has posted since November 10, 2023.
Meadowcreek's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daron Sturdivant, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Damari Wright was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Meadowcreek's victory ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-15. As for Discovery, their loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-20.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Meadowcreek will take on the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Peachtree Ridge has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 516 points over their last eight matchups.
