Chambersburg got a great performance from K McMullen as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits. McMullen has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
At the plate, K Barclay was excellent, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI. Another player making a difference was R Mills, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Central Dauphin). They put the hurt on Wilson with a sharp 10-2 win on Saturday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Rams as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Nick Tirado spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, Jace Collins was a standout: he went 4-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Smith, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Chambersburg's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 2-8. As for Central Dauphin, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.
