The West Morgan Rebels can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 72-65 victory over Connersville. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
When it comes to explaining why Connersville lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kevin Seeley. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. Those seven assists set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Hunter Allen, who scored ten points.
Even though they lost, Connersville were working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
The win got West Morgan back to even at 6-6. As for Connersville, they have fallen quite a ways from their 18-5 record last season and are now at 3-5.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Whiteland the next time they take the court. Connersville will head out to face Whiteland at TBD on Friday, while West Morgan will head out to face them at TBD on Friday.
