The Crowley County Chargers will challenge the Peyton Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
Crowley County is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Hoehne on Saturday as they made off with a 20-5 win. The result was nothing new for the Chargers, who have now won five matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Anthoni Walter was a standout: he scored four runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-4. Crowley County is 4-1 when Walter posts two or more runs, but 1-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack King, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.
Crowley County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, Peyton posted their closest victory since March 28, 2024 on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Simla 6-4.
Bryce Love spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 17 Ks. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Peyton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Trenten Compton, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI. Zayden Ebbert was another, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Peyton pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Crowley County, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
Wednesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Crowley County has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .453. However, it's not like Peyton struggles in that department as they've averaged .504. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Crowley County couldn't quite finish off Peyton in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 and fell 4-2. Will the Chargers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more baseball content.
