Jacob Peyton gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in April of 2024 on Friday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.
