It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Andrean had no problem doing just that  on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Knox Redskins  a   5-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but the Fighting 59ers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Not much got past  Sadie Drousias, who gave up just  a  hit to keep Knox off the board.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Lanie Doukas, who  went 1-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Aubrey Grasha, who  went 1-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.
 Andrean  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters  in seven consecutive  matchups.
Andrean's victory bumped their record up to 19-7. As for Knox, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-16.
 Coming up, Andrean will challenge Alexandria-Monroe at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 1.5  runs per game  this season, so the Fighting 59ers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Knox does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
