The Meek Tigers waltzed into their match Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat West End 54-17 at home. Considering Meek has won three games by more than 21 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Meek found their leader in underclassman Aleah Addison, who scored 13 points. The match was Addison's eighth in a row with at least ten points.
Meek pushed their record up to 7-3 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for West End, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Meek will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Addison at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. West End will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Section at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Section is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
