Hopefully Carlisle County is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Warriors in Kentucky (the Comets are ranked 130th, while the Warriors are ranked 270th).
Carlisle County stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 64-39 margin over Community Christian.
Carter Burnett was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with six rebounds and two steals. He is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenton Arnold, who scored five points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Carlisle County is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Community Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-16.
Everything went Carlisle County's way against the Warriors when the teams last played on Saturday as the Comets made off with a 64-39 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Carlisle County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
