Brookfield is 8-2 against the Tigers since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Brookfield Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the Newton Falls Tigers at 5:30 p.m. Brookfield is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
Last Monday, Brookfield came out on top against the Red Devils by a score of 47-32 (the very same score they lost by the week prior).
Cailey Wellman continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. Wellman is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Mya Jumper was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the match if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Newton Falls' strategy against the G-Men on Monday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Newton Falls blew the G-Men out of the water with a 49-20 final score.
Brookfield's record is now 7-12. Newton Falls' record is now 7-11.
Brookfield was able to grind out a solid win over the Tigers in their previous matchup back in January, winning 39-32. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brookfield since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
