The Jackson Vikings scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Pinckney with a sharp 79-55 win. Given Jackson's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 141st, while Pinckney is ranked 494th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jackson can attribute much of their success to Sherquan Wilson, who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wilson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Koronnis Davis, who scored 13 points.
The win makes it two in a row for Jackson and bumps their season record up to 11-6. As for Pinckney, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.
Jackson will be playing at home against Chelsea at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Chelsea's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven contests. As for Pinckney, they will head out on the road to square off against Tecumseh at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
