The Western Warriors won the last time they faced the Bonanza Bengals, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Western was the clear victor by a 39-18 margin over Bonanza. The squad ran away with 28 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.
Western's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Qaaima Taylor, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Taylor has scored at least 25% of Western's points. Another player making a difference was Azariah Boxley, who scored 9 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Western and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Bonanza, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Western won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Del Sol at 6:30 p.m. on November 29th. As for Bonanza, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Amplus Academy at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Amplus Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Tuesday.
