The River Ridge Hawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 67-39 loss at the hands of North Thurston. River Ridge has not had much luck with North Thurston recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Several Hawks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Telijah Tucker, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and two blocks. That's the first time this season that Tucker posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Thomas, who scored six points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Liam Sheeran was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 11 steals for North Thurston. Ray Adams was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds.
River Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for North Thurston, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. River Ridge will take on Oakville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Oakville is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games. As for North Thurston, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Capital at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Capital is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
