The Osceola Seminoles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They pulled ahead with a 58-57 photo finish over Rivercrest. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Osceola as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Rivercrest lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mykayla Banks, who scored 20 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Mercuriah Vance was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 14 rebounds and six blocks.
Osceola's win bumped their record up to 3-11. As for Rivercrest, their loss dropped their record down to 15-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Osceola's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Manila at 7:00 p.m. on February 9th. Manila presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Osceola in Arkansas (Manila is ranked 63rd, while Osceola is ranked 234th). As for Rivercrest, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Izard County at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Izard County will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Rivercrest surely won't give up without a fight.
