The Thompson Tommies will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Grafton Spoilers at 7:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Thompson entered their tilt with Dunseith with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Thompson blew past Dunseith, posting a 63-35 victory on the road.
Thompson relied on the efforts of Karter Peterson, who scored 14 points along with three blocks and two steals, and Drew Overby, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Overby hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Krogstad, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Grafton took their contest on the road on Saturday with ease, bagging a 82-45 victory over Rugby. Given Grafton's advantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while Rugby is ranked 63rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Thompson is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for Grafton, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.
