Frankenmuth has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Glenn Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Frankenmuth focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday.
Last Friday, Frankenmuth strolled past Garber with points to spare, taking the game 52-34.
Carson Knoll was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. Ethan Edwards was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of seven wins, Glenn's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 70-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of Freeland. While losing is never fun, Glenn can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 135th, while Freeland is ranked 33rd).
Frankenmuth is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Glenn, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2.
Frankenmuth took their win against Glenn in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 61-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Frankenmuth since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
