The Winnebago Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. They fell 62-53 to Bancroft-Rosalie. Winnebago has struggled against Bancroft-Rosalie recently, as their game on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, Winnebago had strong showings from Jolon Blackbird, who scored 20 points along with six steals and five rebounds, and Charlize Frenchman, who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Blackbird has scored all season. Tressa BigBear was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Bancroft-Rosalie was led to victory by Makenna James and Samryn Dick. James scored six points along with 11 steals and five rebounds, while Dick scored 19 points along with three steals. Dick has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kairece Morris, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Winnebago's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Bancroft-Rosalie, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.
