The matchup between Verona and West Essex wasn't particularly close, with Verona falling 64-47. Verona has not had much luck with West Essex recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Montclair's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Verona, they bumped their record down to 0-2 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road dating back to last season.
Montclair beat Verona 53-42 in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Will Montclair repeat their success, or does Verona have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
