Colby was the  2-1 winner over Northland Pines when they last played one another  back in August, but their luck changed this time around. The Hornets fell  3-1 to the Eagles on Tuesday. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
 Colby started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-20, 25-11,  25-22.
 Daelyn Rieck paced Colby's offense, picking up 29 kills. Rieck got some help from  Zoe Kaiser and her 34 assists.   Player #18 controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
 Northland Pines found their leader in sophomore  Eden Smith, who  had 24  digs and three assists.
Colby's loss dropped their record down to 17-16. As for Northland Pines, they pushed their record up to 23-13 with the  victory, which was their third straight  at home.
 Colby does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northland Pines, they have already played their next matchup,  a  3-0  defeat against Stratford on the 23rd.
