Basketball Recap: Loudoun County Piles Up the Points Against Park View

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Loudoun County). They blew past the Park View Patriots, posting a 68-2 win. Given the Captains' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 180th, while the Patriots are ranked 390th), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Loudoun County has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Park View, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Loudoun County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Broad Run at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Park View, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on January 27th.
