After a 59-49 finish the last time they played, the Longmont Trojans and the Bear Creek Bears decided to play a little more cautiously this time around. Longmont fell 30-19 to Bear Creek on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Longmont has scored all season.
Longmont's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dominic Lombrano, who scored six points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Bear Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Elias Pacheco led the charge by scoring nine points.
Longmont's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Bear Creek, their victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-5.
Longmont and Loveland will face off at 2:30 p.m. on December 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Bear Creek and Evergreen will face off at 11:30 a.m. on December 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Evergreen focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Friday.
