Basketball Recap: Bri Bishop Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Del Norte

Hope Christian won the last time they faced Del Norte and things went their way on Friday too. The Hope Christian Huskies took down the Del Norte Knights 52-34. The Huskies pushed the score to 45-24 by the end of the third, a deficit the Knights cut but never quite recovered from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hope Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Bri Bishop, who posted 20 points and five boards. Bishop has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Mia Bishop was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 14 rebounds.

Hope Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Del Norte only eight assists.

Bleona Agushi and Violet Goudeau certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Agushi almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine boards, while Goudeau put up 11 points and eight rebounds. That's the most boards Agushi has posted since back in February of 2024.

Hope Christian is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points over those games. Del Norte has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season.

As of now, neither Hope Christian nor Del Norte have any future games scheduled.
