The Patrick Henry Patriots will be playing in front of their home fans against the Delta Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Patrick Henry can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Saturday. They breezed by Holgate at home to the tune of 59-21. Given Patrick Henry's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 213th, while Holgate is ranked 606th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Patrick Henry's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Karsyn Weber, who scored 15 points along with two steals, and Ada Christman, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. Christman has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last seven times she's played. Carys Crossland was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Delta was able to grind out a solid win over Gorham Fayette on Saturday, taking the game 44-32.
Patrick Henry's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Delta, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season.
