Christopher is a perfect 5-0 against Piedmont Hills since September of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cougars will welcome the Pirates at 7:00 p.m. The last three games Christopher has played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Cougars on Wednesday. Christopher fell just short of Evergreen Valley by a score of 3-2. Christopher hasn't had much luck with Evergreen Valley recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.
Christopher wouldn't go down easily and took Evergreen Valley into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-21, 25-20, 17-25, 15-12.
Loss or not, Christopher got some senior leadership from Jenny Lee and Juliet Tassio. Lee had seven digs and three aces, while Tassio had 17 digs.
Meanwhile, Piedmont Hills came up short against Leland on Thursday and fell 3-1.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-21, 23-25, 25-16.
Christopher will have to contain Eden Ng as she made an impact in Piedmont Hills' last game. She had 17 digs and two aces. Erika Liberato also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.
Piedmont Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Christopher, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 7-9.
Christopher was able to grind out a solid win over Piedmont Hills in their previous matchup back in September, winning 3-1. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
