The Mize Bulldogs lost against the Collins Tigers on January 9th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Mize ended up on the wrong side of a rough 61-41 walloping at the hands of the Tigers. Mize has not had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Collins to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaylen Willingham, who scored 18 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Latreyveon Lowe, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds.
Mize has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for Collins, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mize will take on the Oilers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Collins, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
