Durant is a perfect 10-0 against East Bay since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. Durant is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.
Durant's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top against Wharton by a score of 4-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

The result came thanks to Betty Oderio's shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Durant's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Lennox Ullrich, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Ullrich has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Alyssa Chancey was another, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, East Bay suffered their closest loss since February 23, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Riverview by a score of 8-6. The Indians have struggled against the Sharks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.
Jensen Nelson was huge no matter where she played even without the win. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over 5.2 innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in walks (zero). She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
East Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Durant, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
East Bay's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Durant has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.1 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for East Bay, though, as they've been averaging only 3.8 strikeouts. Will Durant keep running through batters, or will the Indians buck the trend?
Durant took their win against East Bay when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 12-5 score. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
