On Saturday, Goose Creek ended up a good deal behind Westwood and lost 51-34.
Despite the loss, Goose Creek saw an underclassman step up: Aiyanna Moses scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Saniya Sanders, who scored 8 points.
Westwood got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Makiah Thompson out in front who scored 19 points along with 7 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Aneya Britt, who scored 16 points.
Goose Creek's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Westwood, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.
Goose Creek will take on Woodmont at 1:20 p.m. on Sunday. Westwood will be staying on the road on Sunday to face off against Summerville at 6:20 p.m. on November 26th.
