Mountain Brook won the last time they faced Parker and things went their way on Thursday too. The Mountain Brook Spartans blew past the Parker Thundering Herd 14-2. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won nine matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Mountain Brook and bumps their season record up to 15-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Parker, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain Brook will square off against Houston at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Parker, they will take on Carver Birmingham at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Parker has given up an average of 7.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
