Peyton Bailey Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Tivy got the W thanks in part to Peyton Bailey playing the best football he has all season. Bailey threw for 161 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 55 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Tivy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Bailey and Tivy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Alamo Heights at 7:00 p.m. on November 1st.

Bernard Made His Presence Known in Victoria West's 50-33 Loss
Victoria West had to settle for second on Friday, but Tristan Bernard sure wasn't going down easily. Boerne had no answer to Bernard as he rushed for 89 yards and two touchdowns. Bernard showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 65 yards.
Victoria West's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-2. Bernard will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Harlandale on Friday.
