Cleveland is 8-2 against Rhea County since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Blue Raiders will look to defend their home field against the Golden Eagles at 5:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Cleveland's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over Hixson. The Blue Raiders haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Not much got past Klaire Hall, who gave up just three hits and racked up six Ks to keep Hixson off the board. Hall has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Cleveland let Lilly Mason and Landri Nelson run wild. Mason went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI, while Nelson scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Those four RBI gave Mason a new career-high. Allison Farnsworth was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Cleveland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They are 5-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Rhea County sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-9 win over Cookeville on Monday.
Allie Shaver made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up six earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. Shaver was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI.
In other batting news, Landree Brown was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Reece Brown, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Cleveland's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Rhea County, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-9.
